In a world where being pretty is everything, one girl has to make a difficult choice after meeting some friends who are not following the rules of the land. This is set in a post-apocalyptic dystopia. Kids younger than sixteen live in a different area, considered very ugly. When you turn sixteen, you get a whole makeover, new body, new face so you will be pretty. Tally is a few months away from her birthday and excited for her change, until she meets Shay who starts to change her opinion on all lessons that she was brought up by

It's a good book, and it’s true, some people only care about their looks. But this takes it to a whole new extreme. I found the plot of it quite interesting, people getting transformed to look ‘pretty.’ There are some brilliant themes in here that are easy to follow. I recommend this book if you want a good read.  Expect this movie to come soon.

If you loved the Hunger Games you might take a liking to Divergent. Set in America after something big, when people figure out that they need factions with different personality’s to help run the place.( It's not explained that much ) Meet Beatrice, the main character and a member of the abnegation faction. One event changes her life and leads to whole new discoveries.

Let me just say that this book has twist after twist, some that just come out of nowhere. This book is action packed and keeps you constricted to reading it. Even though the book is a good young adult book with many twists, it has a few flaws that need to be pointed out. There are many questions that needed to be answered or you are a bit confused about. Sometimes Beatrice seems like any other typical young adult character that you have grown tired off and are constantly repeated in books. And the emotions she shows towards many things might not be the way you would think someone her age would act.

In summary it’s a neat book, flaws here and there. If you are into young adults books, then this is just one to add to books you should read. With a movie deal coming up, you might want to look into it before it’s the only thing you hear about on TV/Radios/Computers/everywhere.

George R.R Martin is a fantasy legend. His starting book for the series A Song of Fire and Ice proves to be one of the top fantasy books ever created. Anyone who is a big fan of Lord of the Rings or has just read them will be hooked onto this book.

This book does not feature just one character but many across the mighty land of Westros. Each chapter switches to a new person, saying what is happening across the land. You know whatever is happening and you get so much more plot than in books just following one character. But it is all connected and does not span off into a whole new plot - everything you read is connected to one big plot.

It is quite a long book, but you will be hooked once you read it. I highly suggest it to anyone who loves and good story, and will not be afraid to give up other stories to focus on just one. You will grow to hate characters and you will love some characters, but in the end you will just want more.
